Komatex is a fine celled structure sheet which is used especially in the signage industry and advertising media. Because of its surface Komatex is ideal for digital printing, lacquering, foiling and is easily workable. Komatex is produced without any environmental or health damaging substances. In the material there is no barium or cadmium and definitely no lead. Therefore it is food safe also.
Applications / Uses
Komatex is ideal for Advertising areas like signs, boards, letters, displays and exhibitions.
Another application is high humidity areas like bathrooms etc as Komatex absorbes virtually no water. Also used for vacuum formed food trays. Excellent for quality digital printing applications.
Features
Komatex has a closed cell surface and retains the colour right through the sheet. Its low thermal conductivity enables good insulation. This product is also resistant to chemicals and corrosion according to DIN 8061. It also achieves a low flamability rating of DIN 4102-B1. Komatex can also be deep drawn when thermoformed. Komatex can be machined using standard tools and machinery. A good bond can also be achieved with this product to itself and other materials providing the the suitable adhesives are used.
Komatex is guaranteed for 5 years for weathering and light fastness on white sheets only.
Availability
Field Ltd carry Komatex mainly in white in a sheet size of 2440 x 1220mm & 3050×1560mm and in guages of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm and 10mm. Other colours of red, yellow, black, blue and green are available in the same sheet size at 3mm thick. Komatex is protected with a clear pe masking.
